Sue began her career in the North East as a freelance lecturer at Sunderland University.

 Since 1989 she has worked from 36 Lime Street Workshops and Studios in the cultural quarter of the Ouseburn Valley.  Sue developed her interest in cast glass while studying for an M,A. at the Royal College of Art in London.  She specialises in the design and fabrication of architectural glass, gifts and awards.  She explains that each cast: 'encapsulates aspects of nature taken directly from fossils, plants and fishes, as well as using a variety of techniques appropriate to each individual piece.'
